And that's a wrap, folks.
We've phased out our use of DCF for tarps. This product has been discontinued.

The Tarp

For your minimal trips, the wind-shedding Cirriform provides a solid tarp in a small package. Pair it with a bivy or net-tent to create a lightweight, double-wall tent.

This versatile tarp allows entry from either the front or the side. In rainy weather, however, please use only the front entry to prevent water from running into the sleeping area when you open the door. This tarp pairs perfectly with our Bug Bivy and 1P Bug Shelter.

  • Tapered shape uses space efficiently.
  • Curvatures promote a taut, wind-shedding pitch.
  • Zippered front beak/door rolls completely out of the way.
  • Rear beak provides protection at the foot.
  • Durable, #5 waterproof zipper
  • Hang loops located along the ridge at the ends, center, and about 12" in from the foot.
  • Tensioners at tie-outs for easy pitch adjustment (removable).
  • UHMWPE Core guyline with reflective tracer pre-installed.

Notes:

  • The color of this tarp is 'white'. Some pictures show the tarp made from 'sage' colored DCF.
  • Some photos may show additional items that are not included (eg. Bug Canopy, floor). This product listing is for the tarp and items listed in the specifications only.

New starter
Part came promptly and was a direct match to the original starter. I did a bench test prior to install and had no issues.

Bit Longer than Genuine Quicksilver Starter Not same fit
It’s close to the Quicksilver Mercruiser starter but it’s not the same length and size. Also the internal gear sits differently. My 2012 Tahoe Mercruiser Alpha 3.0 has a back bracket that would not fit on because this starter is longer. I didn’t take the risk of testing it out by starting it as I noticed the gear inside sits a bit different and there is a knob on the front of the housing as the original does not. I’m not taking any chances. I just returned it and ordered the actual Quicksilver Starter that’s a little more $$ but totally worth it to have a proper fit.

failed after 2 months of use
This starter has failed after less than one year in use. Used for 1 month last summer then, over the winter I had my boat winterized and upon summerizing it, the starter displayed a "flat" spot where it would not crank unless turned and tried again. It now doesn't turn over my engine. I'd like a refund or replacement. Do not recommend cheap knock offs for boat parts...

Good starters for the price
So I freaked out a bit when I pulled my old starter and it was a 9 tooth. But after alot of research I found out that this 11 tooth is a direct replacement. I use 2 of these on my boat. They have no problem starting a 7.4l big block. Great value for budget builds.
